Don't Blink

While I have been busy lately being "busy", this little guy grew up.

I was awaken this morning to a beaming, six year old little man saying,
"Mom, look, I lost a tooth!"

With the sleepies still stuck to my eyes, I hugged him, shed a tear (or maybe two) and said,
"I love you, bud." And under my breath, I whispered a prayer of gratefulness and sadness. Grateful that I am home to witness these things but sad that it seems like yesterday that this guy was born.

I just have to remember to keep my eyes on what's important and to not blink so much...maybe time will slow a bit!

Life has been happening lately and my hope is to get back to blogging. We finished up our school year and let me tell you...it was a long year! Teaching 2 children is a lot different than just one!!! They did well and I am so proud. Been bus, busy, busy and hope to get back in the swing of things!

Family Photos 2013

In September, we decided to take a shot at taking our own family photos and we love them!

Here's one of our little family!!!

Here's me and Mike! He loves his momma (and he likes taking pictures; Aaron, not so much!!)!

Brotherly love!! My little Aaron and Mike!

This is my favorite pose of the day : "The Uncle Rico". I wanted to make this our family picture, but Adam was resistant. ;)

Just a fun one of Aaron!

We had a fun time taking pics and every time we do, I see how FAST my boys are growing!! Aaron just entered Kindergarten and Mike's in THIRD grade!! Time goes too fast!!! But life is good and we are blessed and I can't ask for anything more than that!!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day!! This year, we are on a shoe-string budget, so we made all of our gifts to our favorite Dad!!
All these ideas I found on Pinterest!! I love it!

Below is my favorite!! Just printed of the letter, added the pictures and laminated! So cute!

And here's Mike's footprints with a cute poem I found on using google!

And then there's Aaron's!

And last but not least, is a printable from www.lilluna.com that was offered for Father's Day for FREE!! Awesome!

We had a very low key, laid back Father's Day!! It's raining, so we are staying indoors and watching some movies, and a nap may be involved!!

Have a great day!

Backyard Campout!!!

This past Saturday night, we had our first family, backyard campout of 2013!! It was SOOO fun! We watched Napoloen Dynamite until it got dark out (our families favorite movie right now!) and then we went out to do the glow-in-the-dark sand they got for Christmas!!

Ain't it cool!?!? The pictures are a little blurry but cool nonetheless!!
The orange and blue were Aaron's colors!

The green and blue were Mike's colors!

Then just a pic inside the tent with Dad!!

And one with me! Oh Aaron is always being silly!

If you couldn't tell, I can't wait for the fun of summer to be in full swing! The warm nights, lightning bugs, cook outs, swimming at the lake, long days and days off school! Oh summer should come more than once a year!!

Baseball and Earth Day

Baseball started this weekend for my nephews Brian and Brody! I love it! It was SOOO cold on Saturday! We froze our tails off!

Below is a picture of Brody playing short stop! He was fun to watch! He got two hits and he struck out once! He did great!

Below is my oldest nephew Brian! He played first base! He was too cool to turn and say hi. Must be the almost twelve year old in him!

Today we celebrated Earth Day by making a fun little craft. Aaron is working hard!!

And there's Mike, trying to get done as quickly as he can! Then, when he was finished, he asked me if we could do another project!?!? Oh kids!

Mike's finished project!

Aaron's finished project!

We are having a great day and enjoying slightly warmer weather here! Grass is cut, weed wacker is broken, but other than that, it's a good day!
