Beautiful day...

Just a quick little post tonight! I helped paint my brothers house this evening and I'm exhausted!! Good feeling to do some service though!!

Before my hubby and I painted, we attended a baptism. It was truly remarkable! The Spirit was so strong there and the young man that was baptized will make an awesome addition to our branch! =) I remember being baptized a little over ten years ago. I was a timid, shy 18 year old girl, scared to death of what I was getting myself into! The gospel absolutely changed my life for the better! I am stronger knowing who I am, and knowing my worth to a loving Father in Heaven! Being the only member in my family was the HARDEST part. They didn't understand and some of them still don't. When I got sealed in the temple, I devistated my whole family. Leaving my mom to go to the Washington, D.C. temple just about cracked me. I am glad I did what I knew was the right thing for me. Now my mom understands. She supports me and I love her for that!

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ! To learn more visit www.lds.org.

Thanks for visiting!! Have a great night!!

The Very Clumsy Click Beetle

Truth is, I tried REALLY hard not to do a craft today and just read the book but the boys wouldn't have it! So I did the craft I had planned and it turned out pretty cute!

We read The Very Clumsy Click Beetle today and it's the cutest book ever! Definitely one to buy!

We made our very own click beetles. I printed out beetles from the computer , let them color them, hot glued pipe cleaners for legs and hot glued the body onto a clothes pin. You need the clothespins with the springs so when you push down, they CLICK!! It works wonderfully!
Here's a pic of the boys clicking them at the table! Very fun project to do!

Have a great day and stop by soon! I love visitors! =)

Little Cloud

Today was a great day! We went to the library and returned all of our Seuss books in exchange for some Eric Carle books! We own The Very Hungry Catepillar and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, so we got a couple of the other titles he has written!

Below is just a random picture of my boys helping cook dinner! They are good helpers!!

The book for today was Little Cloud and we read it as we did our craft. The boys were very interested in this book! I love that they love to read!

I drew some shapes from the book onto some white paper. I traced a lot of them because I'm not the best at drawing!

Then I gave each of the boys a cup with glue in it and a paint brush and they painted the glue onto the paper and added cotton. We did a rabbit, plane, two trees, and a hat! They sat and did the entire project and that's really good for Little A!

Thanks for stopping by! It was a wonderful, cold day here in PA!! But the sun was beautiful and abundant and I will take that! Anything but snow!!
HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Last Day of Seuss!

Well today wasn't as exciting as I had planned! I woke up with the WORST headache and it's still here!! I'm starting to feel a little better but I still can't wait for bed!

We read the Sneetches today! I love it! We also have a cartoon of it that we watched! It has a good message about not judging others and being OK with yourself! I loved it! I made the boys star-belly sneetch shirts! I know the shirts are supposed to be yellow, but I'm trying to do with what I have and the boys loved them!

Here's M's shirt! You couldn't see it in the pic above because all of the hugs he was giving his brother!

And here is my set of Spring blocks!! I love them too! Not too bad for only spending about $1.50, eh?

What a fun week we had!! I really enjoyed showing the boys the wacky world of Dr. Seuss! I noticed while we were at the library last week that there were just as many Eric Carle books as their were Seuss!! Well almost! So we are going to work with Carle books this week! I love the library! Looking forward to our trip in the morning!

Green Eggs and Ham

In honor of our all time favorite Dr. Seuss book, Green Eggs and Ham, we made catepillars from an EGG carton! I cut the carton in half and then each side in half again. They painted them and then added glitter. I added the antenna and button eyeballs with hot glue and wah-lah! Catepillars!!

Below is a pic of M painting his catepillars. For some reason they only painted the tops! I had to tell them it was ok to paint the sides! They are funny guys!

Here is Little A painting his little heart out! He is also in potty training mode, FINALLY! He did well this morning, but isn't doing as hot this evening! I guess it's a work in progress!

Here are the finished products! I think they are adorable!! My kids make my heart sing!! Love them to pieces!
I've been working on my Spring blocks and hopefully will have them to show tomorrow! There is only 1 good side to my hubby working evenings: I can do crafty things for 3 WHOLE HOURS! =)

Feeling Lucky??

For Dr. Seuss day today, we painted a Hop On Pop picture and we will read the book tonight! It's one we already own and we love it! It will be a fun reason to read it again!

Below is a pic of M painting his picture, even though his paper towel is covering it!

There is Little A doing his FAVORITE activity in the world! He would paint until his hands fell off!!
Well, since I am BEYOND ready for spring and we had an awesome thunderstorm last night, I decided to bring a little "green" to our home with a cool LUCKY sign!! My wonderful hubby cut a bunch of 2x4's up for me. He cut them 5,6 and 7 inches in length. After a quick sanding, I painted them the two green colors below. Then I allowed it to dry.

Then, I printed out the word lucky on my computer, made some "stencils" and traced the letters onto the blocks. I also found a cute shamrock shape and did the same. I then very slowly painted the letters and the shamrocks on the blocks. I LOVE THEM and I love the way they look on my shelf!!

I am so excited for spring and for the other blocks I will be making for Easter and Spring and memorial day and...well you get the picture!! I am a holiday and birthday FANATIC!!!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

Little A's 3rd Birthday Party!

Yesterday we celebrated Little A's 3rd Birthday!! It was a blast!! The pic below is a pic of my niece Big K, in the red, my nephew Little B and the back of my other niece Big A's head!! Big A is sporting the 3D glasses we got! The tablecloth, napkins, plates and treat bags were all 3D! They thought it was cool!!

This is a pic of M playing pin the tail on bullseye! You can also see the medals that each kid won after each game. My nephew Big B was the winner and got a certificate!! He was pretty excited!

Here is a pic of the kids playing Buzz Lightyear bowling in my messy basement! Little A is there, KICKING the ball at the pins! He would then run up and kick them all over! He loved it!

Here is me, Little A and Big B with Little A's new Jessie doll! He now has Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Lotso, Mr. Potato head, three aliens and Rex! He was the happiest kid ever, even though he doesn't look it in these pics! That's how he looks in every pic too!
And this is how Little A fell asleep on the couch! He had a balloon wrapped around his hand and he was sitting up!! It was the cutest thing ever! I didn't get a pic of him in his Woody jammies! He looked awesome! And M got army man jammies! They were very excited about the jammies! Oh and I love the broken blind in the window!! Little A likes to play with the blinds! Now they are busted! Oh well!

Overall, it was a fun day! Lots of fun and another year older! I am so very grateful and blessed for the role I have as Mother! It's a beautiful thing! =)
