Super Sunday!

We had a long, but fun day at church today! Adam couldn't go because he's been sick but the kiddos and I forged ahead!!!

In Primary, my nursery leader, Sunbeams teacher and CTR teacher were all missing today!! The dynamic duo that makes up my nursery leader and Sunbeams teacher are husband and wife and they had two sick little girls. :( I was sad not to see them!!! And my CTR teacher, who is also the primary music leader, was seeing her hubby off as he was going to basic training. I felt sad for her!! I would miss my hubbs terribly if he was going to be gone for so long! So, my first counselor and I filled every place that we could and we had fun!!! As weird as it sounds!!

Any who!!! Below is a craft that we did with the Primary that I found awhile ago in an old Friend magazine that I thought we be fun as a Valentine's Day challenge. Since Choose The Right is the theme for this year, I decided to set up a 14 day CTR challenge where I challenged each child to do at least one good thing a day. Then I gave their parents slips of paper where they could record one of their good deeds and put it inside the containers they made. Then in two weeks, we are going to record all their good doings! The kids were excited about this challenge! I hope they all succeed!!

This is a pic of M holding his container ( I don't know what else to call it!!!) All the kids had fun doing this!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday! I sure did!!!!!

Valentine's Snowman Family!

So, to go along with my block obsession, I decided to steer away from the word blocks and make a little snowman family. I love love love them!

Of course my hubby is the tallest one, then me in the pink scarf, M is the one in the black scarf and little A has the red scarf on. When I finished them, I giggled...... A LOT!! They make me happy!  I am not much for "winter" decorating so I wanted to make something "wintery" for V-day! I think it works!

Hope it is sunnier where you are because here in PA it's raining cats and dogs! Have a great day!

Valentine's Day Banner

Being that V-day is coming up very soon, I wanted to show the little banner and blocks that I made.

I made the hearts from some scrap cardstock and a heart stencil that I have. I like that it looks homemade! And I am very fortunate to have a brother who every once in a while throws me some unwanted lumber that I can use for my block making addiction! :)

I tried to stay away from all pinks and reds, seeing as I live with three guys! I love the green and blue touches! They make me happy!

And I was trying to think of a way to use up leftover candy canes so I made the little hearts hanging from the bottom. I still have NO idea why we buy candy canes?! We never eat them!

And below is just a random pic of my two boys making paper hearts for our windows. They love anything that has to do with glue!!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope everyone has a great day!!

Love letter

I was thinking about this blog and how I NEVER know that to post! I started this blog to record wonderful memories of what is happening in my life now. I always feel that nothing is all that exciting for me to post, but my day to day nothingness IS something. My boys are growing at a RAPID pace and I want to remember it all!! I also want to possibly encourage others. I know there are TONS of people out their that inspire me DAILY with their blogs. So i've decided to do something new!

It'll be called my Love Letters, to whomever I see fit to write them to!!

Dear M,

We worked hard in school today. You wrote the words "new" and "make" with glue and macaroni noodles and I was a proud momma at how quickly you are learning!

You are are great chef! I'm excited that you like to make your own chocolate milk! I am even more excited that you are willing, without being asked, to do the same for your little brother. You compassion for others warms my heart.....everyday.

Dear little A,

You are so sick today. Your nose has some major boogies coming out of it and your cough makes me wish I could take it from you. No fever which is good. But you are tough! You are playing Dragonball Z with your brother as we speak!!

Dear Adam,

I am SOOOO excited that you decided to go back to a normal work shift. You getting home at 3:00 pm is SO much better than you getting home at 11:00 pm!!

I am grateful that you work as hard as you do. I am happy to be a stay at home momma and to be able to teach our children. I am grateful for your support!

I love you three boys with all of my heart and soul and am grateful and looking forward to Eternity!!

Love you,

Mom (Naomi!)
